 Sanding and finishing of hardwood floor is an art form. This trade within a trade involves hard physical labor conjoined with Amazing Floor’s finesse of fine sanding and meticulous cleaning and finishing.
Whether a new wooden floor is installed or an existing floor retreated, it is the finish that makes the appearance complete. In comparison to seals and lacquers which form a plastic like film on top of the wood preventing it from breathing causing cupping & swelling. Amazing Floor’s natural environmentally smart floor finishes penetrate into the wood and protect it from the inside and breathe. They maintain the natural warmth and liveliness of the material, making it durable and resistant to wear at the same time. Virtually maintenance free.
The floor finishes used for both our pre-oiled flooring range and on-site finished solid floors do not contain harmful chemicals or other artificial materials. They are made from vegetable oil. They repel both dirt and water, and can stand not only heavy traffic but also high humidity. The finishes have a
molecular structure which resists cracking, peeling, flaking, cupping & swelling.
